This one had me going for a while. Citrix XenDesktop – VM Hosted Apps won’t work anymore when RES Workspace Manager gets installed. RES had an article “Q203249” that describes how to get it working. But both options in this article won’t work with Citrix XenDesktop 5.6 FP1, Windows 7 SP1 and RES Workspace Manager 2012.
After some chitchat with RES Support, they reproduced the error.
Only use the second option from the article, and from that part, only set this registry key:

Here are some Group Policy settings that will greatly improve login times over an Direct Access connection. Note: test well, there might be some side affects.
- Login times measured with a UMTS – 3G connection: 60-90 seconds 100 – 140 ms latency
- Login times measured with a UMTS – HDSPA connection: 30-40 seconds. 80-100 ms latency

If result are still not ‘good enough, you might consider the ‘Enable the Always Offline Mode’ http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh968298.aspx for example ‘Field Workers’.
